Promoting health and wellbeing

We want everyone in Elmbridge to have the same opportunity to live an independent, healthy life.

We fund local projects that support healthy eating, exercise and mental health, and make our allotments and green spaces available for local people and community groups to enjoy.

In 2021/22

395 local people used our allotments to grow fruit and vegetables and for exercise.

10 community grants funded mental health courses and wellbeing workshops in schools, telephone counselling services and emotional support for families and new parents.

70% of our health and wellbeing grants benefitted children and young people across Elmbridge.

The allotment has become my favourite
hobby. I have suffered from anxiety and
this is a lot better now.
