Promoting affordable housing

We believe everyone should be able to afford a safe, comfortable place to live.

Working with local partners, we provide housing for people at risk of homelessness. We also offer independent living for people aged over 55 through our sheltered housing schemes.

In 2020/21

115 people were housed in our sheltered accommodation schemes. 85% of residents said they really enjoy living there and 100% said the buildings are well looked after.

28 people were housed in our social housing properties.

41 direct grants and a delegated fund helped families pay for household essentials such as flooring, beds and washing machines.

During Covid-19, we offered practical and emotional support to our sheltered housing residents. From supplying food and activity packs to offering a shopping and prescription pick-up service.
