Volunteering opportunities
Volunteer Gardeners
Walton Charity’s Community Allotment is nestled within our allotment site on Terrace Road, Walton on Thames.
Everyone is welcome here and it is a place for people from all walks of life to come together, socialise and learn new skills. We actively encourage those who feel isolated or who face barriers because of mental or physical health conditions to join in regular outdoor activities, building confidence and independence.
We are looking for volunteer gardeners to support and guide people who are referred to us.
All tools and equipment will be provided.
Sessions run on Tuesdays from 10am to 3pm and on Fridays from 10am to 12.30pm.
To find out more, please email greenspaces@waltoncharity.org.uk.
Walton & Hersham Foodbank volunteers
Volunteers are the driving force behind foodbanks.
There are thousands of volunteers across the UK helping the Trussell Trust Foodbank Network get emergency food to people in crisis. We want you to enjoy volunteering and there are lots of ways to get involved. Whatever role you choose, you will make a real difference to the life of someone in crisis.
If you are interested in volunteering with the Walton & Hersham foodbank, download a application form.
Please note, all our volunteering tasks are carried out during the working week.
Corporate volunteering
Interested in team-building volunteering days? Research shows that volunteering helps staff develop leadership, decision-making, and negotiation skills. Plus, it can boost morale, wellbeing, and improve staff retention.
If you would like to organise a corporate volunteering day for your staff, please contact Janette on 07359 020731.
