Independent Living
We want everyone in Elmbridge to have a safe, comfortable place to call home. Our two independent living schemes offer accommodation for people aged over 55 who want to live in a safe and caring environment.
Flats in both of our schemes - Fenner House and Mayfield - are suitable for single people and couples.
Our housing offers the benefit of independent living without the worries that most homeowners or private tenants face.
To apply to our independent living schemes, you must be a current resident of Elmbridge and be aged over 55 years. You must be able to live independently. We can consider applications from anyone in receipt of housing (and other) benefits or those who are paying directly.
Support for residents
The Residential Officers at both Fenner House and Mayfield can help to answer resident questions or signpost to local services for support with personal, financial, and emotional issues. This can be anything from joining a book club to finding local groups.
Our flats
Our flats are completely self-contained and residents have access to a 24/7 on-call system in case of emergencies. There are communal spaces available for all residents to use, including beautiful landscaped gardens, a lounge and kitchen, and laundry facilities. Both schemes also have a private space which can be booked out for visiting hairdressers, podiatrists, beauticians and similar personal care professionals.
We offer a range of social activities for residents to choose from. These include Christmas meals, a summer outing, on-site BBQs, coffee mornings and gardening plus craft sessions. We can also help with organising group trips to places of interest.
Our schemes are located at:
Mayfield, 74 Hersham Road, Walton on Thames, Surrey, KT12 5NU
