Lisa and Rob have three young children under the age of nine and both work full time locally.

When employment ceased overnight during lockdown, the family cut back drastically on anything that they could.   Both parents were paid weekly and had never been without a regular income.

As their savings dried up, they reluctantly decided to seek help for the first time in their lives and they turned to the Elmbridge Family Centre.

The Centre issued supermarket vouchers provided by Walton Charity to enable Rob and Lisa to buy more fresh food to accompany the long-life food given by the foodbank.

The minute the government announced that businesses could open again, the couple worked around each other and their childcare needs.  Whilst their income was reduced, they are able to cope and no longer require support.
