Total Project Integration, Care Computers and Walton Charity team up to help local students

A generous donation by local company, Total Project Integration, has been matched by Walton Charity as part of our COVID-19 Appeal Fund and the cash injection has paid for e-learning resources to support Sixth Form students at Three Rivers Academy.

The grant will enable Three Rivers Academy to pilot an online learning package called Uplearn to complement teacher-led learning. Uplearn provides a comprehensive programme of learning in several A-Level subjects using interactive video lessons, targeted feedback on progress and adaptive learning technology.  According to Uplearn, 97% of students using their platform over the past two years have achieved grades A*- A and every student who has completed the modules is guaranteed A*-A results, or a refund.

We know that not every local family has the means to access online learning and complete homework online.  Laptops donated by another corporate donor, Care Computers, will be available for students who do not have access to a computer at home. This donation will help more Three Rivers Academy students with their learning.

The Deputy Head Teacher of Three Rivers Academy, Mario Scannella, said: “We are delighted with this support from the donors in conjunction with Walton Charity. These resources will further support our students to actively engage with their learning beyond the classroom and support those who currently do not have access to online facilities from home.”

Managing Director of Total Project Integration, Jane Hewitt said “We are delighted to be working closely with Walton Charity, Uplearn and Care Computers to assist Three Rivers Academy in continuing to educate children in these unprecedented and very challenging times.”
