We offer grants to individuals and families in Elmbridge who are facing financial hardship. We also fund local charities, schools and organisations who are tackling poverty and inequality in Elmbridge.

We are committed to tackling both the symptoms and causes of child poverty in our local area and will continue to support children and young people worst affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.

In 2020/21

69 adults and 99 children facing financial hardship received support through our direct grants programme.

5 delegated funds helped local people and families with essentials such as fresh food.

18 direct grants paid for bikes or local transport costs for people to get to work or school.

6 community grants funded organisations offering debt support and help with managing finances.

1,709 food parcels were distributed to 4,712 local people in partnership with the Walton & Hersham Foodbank.

70% of our grant funding supported local children and families, including £40,674 raised through our Covid-19 Response Appeal.

Today I received £150 of Tesco vouchers and I’m yet to stop the grateful tears from falling. From the bottom of my heart, thank you so much!”
